As of May 17, 2021:
Anyone that has been fully vaccinated, you can now choose to wear a mask or not while inside the library. We are still requiring those who are NOT fully vaccinated to wear a mask when entering the library.
We still offer curbside for any patrons who are not comfortable coming inside.
Thank you for your honesty and cooperation!
As of May 1, 2021:
The library will move into Phase 3 of its planned four-phase COVID reopening plan effective May 1.
We are returning to normal hours, although we will be on summer hours until August. Those hours are 9:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Mondays, 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Tuesdays through Thursday, and 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays.
The public restrooms have been re-opened.
The meeting room is again available, but with limits on numbers of people, and a minimum of two days between rentals.
Other changes will not affect you so much, but they include putting the current magazines back in plastic covers, ending the quarantining of returned materials so that returned items become available to you sooner, and re-shelving books while the library is open.
Tentatively, we expect to begin offering in-person programs in June, either inside with size limitations and registration required, or outdoors with no size limitations or registration required.
Other things are not yet changing. We will require masks and social distancing in Phase 3. The sneezeguards are still in place, so users will still be scanning their own barcodes when checking out. The new books and other materials will remained scattered to four different locations. Curbside service will still be available, and in fact will probably be a permanent service.
